Roll Creator

I have created another creator. After a lot of difficulties and scratching my head i finally cracked it!

The Roll Creator can be used with Warhammer 40,000 and has an array of functions and abilities to calculate the outcomes of battles almost instantly! There are several functions of the roll creator that should make the game a much more enjoyable experience.[bloghide]

Roll Dice
The first menu is called Roll Dice, it is basically an automatic dice roller than can help you roll a number of dice from anywhere between 1 and 1 million. The results are almost instant depending on how many dice are being calculated and the results are displayed at the bottom in the history table.

The 'Maximum number' of the dice determines the highest value that the dice can achieve and can be changed if needed, again it supports a wide range from 1 to 1 million and is commonly used to calculate leadership tests for squads.

The 'Add to rolls' option increases the individual number of each roll and clearly shows the number that is being increased in the history table.

'Show total' will display the total of all the dice rolls in the history table, even if more than one dice is being used this option must be selected in order for the total to be shown.

'Add to total' add the number specified to the total being rolled and can be seen in the history table if this option is selected. This requires 'Show total' to be selected and will automatically enable it if not already on. Also if 'Show total' is disabled then 'Add to total' will also be disabled.

Roll to Hit and Wound
Roll to Hit and Wound is where most of the calculations will take place. It will calculate how many attacks hit and ultimately how many caused a wound. There are just a few inputs required in order to get accurate results.

'Roll to hit' is the number found in the 40,000 rule book that determines what number the roll must be in order for the attack to hit the target. It is derived from the weapon skill of the attacker and the weapon skill of the defender.

Reroll missed hits is an option if there are any attacks that can be rerolled for whatever reason, maybe a specail rule or a specail weapon, in any case the option is here if needed.

'Roll to wound' takes the number of successful hits and then calculates if those that hit the target caused a wound or not. The value required can also be found in the 40,000 rulebook and is defined by the strength of the attacker and the toughness of the defender.

Reroll missed wounds is an option if any hits can be rerolled to determine if the attacks hit the target and caused a wound.

Roll to Save
Roll to save is used after Roll to Hit and determines if the successful attacks that would have usually caused a wound, only hit the armour of the defender. This is also used for invulnerable saves if some forcefield or other barrier has saved them from an otherwise finishing blow.

You must first enter the number of saves required, this is usually the number of successful hits that was determined in the Roll to wound section.

'To Save' is the value that is needed to save the attack. It is derived from the armour value or invulnerable save value found in the respective races of 40,000

It is possible to reroll any failed rolls to save an attack that would cause a wound, the option must be selected and the value can be changed from the default one.

'Feel No Pain' is used when the unit, squad or character has the Feel No Pain special rule but can be used with any other rule that can roroll a failed save with a different value other than the 'To Save' value.

Roll to Hit and Penetrate
Shotting at vehicles needs a load of different variables, modifiers and calculation, this calculator makes it oh so simple.

The 'Number of Attacks' can be changed from anywhere between 1 and 1 million to make it a lot easier to calculate a lot of attacks.

The Number required 'To hit' is the same as the one for shotting to hit and wound and can be found in the 40,000 rule book.

Any rolls that can be taken again if missed can be rolled again using the 'Reroll missed hits' option, it required a number to be rerolled and can be changed from the default value.

The 'Strength' is the strength of the weapon and can be found in each races respective codex for their individual value.

The 'Armour' is the armour of the vehicle being hit and can also be found in each races respective codex.

If the shots fired at the vehicle can only produce a glancing hit then this option must be selected.

If the squad firing at the vehicle has the tank hunter special rule then this option must be selected.

If the squad firing is in range for the melta specail rule or is a monstrous creature then this option must be selected.

Roll for Damage
If a vehicle has been hit and a shot has successfully penetrated the armour of its hull then it must roll to determine the result of the damage.

If the shot was only a glancing hit in the Roll to Hit and Penetrate calculator then the 'Glancing hit' option must be selected

If the vehicle is open topped then this option must be selected.

If the weapon that hit the vehicle has an armour penetration value of AP- then this option must be selected.

If the weapon that hit the vehicle has an armour penetration value of AP1 then this option must be selected.

The options selected here are displayed in the history table.[/bloghide]

Hopefully the Roll Creator will help you quickly and decisively win many victorious battles.
